the ripple effect is a specific product and I do not think it will be hard to source at all. You just ask the auto paint specialists- I bet there is a spray can.

if you are re spraying a panel from a wrecker just paint over it, though if you do need to create the effect you can buy products in a can usually called rock / stone guard and tape up a line.
