Swap NA6 seat cushions - possible?

Hi All, Looking around here and miata.net it is still not clear whether this is possible.

It seems that the adjusters and rails are specific to the right and left side. But can I dissasemble them and swap the soft parts over?

Pictures here suggest that it is not as simple as swapping the rails over http://www.74tr6.com/miataseats.htm

It also looks like the foam may be bonded to the seat chassis which would be a show stopper for my swap. Has anyone tried this?
