Need a 6 speed gear knob

I'm looking for a nice 6 speed gear knob to replace my now incorrect 5 speed knob.

I quite like the stock 5 speed knob so I'm really looking for something similar but with the correct shift pattern.

Can someone advise me what size the shaft is? Apparently there is a couple of different thread options.

I've been doing some searching but I can't find what a stock NB 6 speed gear knob looked like.

Not much luck finding either stock or aftermarket knobs on ebay. Most of the aftermarket knobs are a bit tasteless. I just want something with a bit of weight to it like the stock knob.

Put an Rx8 knob in there? Nice look, and has the 6 speed pattern.

Or Mitsubishi Evo 8 +

If you want weight, you'll need to go aftermarket.

I have considered the RX8 knob but I haven't seen any for sale unfortunately.

Have you tried a wreckers, or maybe someone on this forum that has changed their knob and are willing to sell the original.

put a WTB post in the for sale section, there's surely someone with an NB8B who's got a new knob and has an old one lying around.

eBay UK and US usually has one or two every few weeks. New ones are ludricously priced, but decent condition second hand ones go for $50-$80USD. You might be lucky and have few, or no, bidders if the seller posted the ad either super-early in the morning or super-late their time.

I got a rough one for $8USD :mrgreen:

it's pretty sh*ty condition though.
