Racing beat style bar

Postby Oceanroader » Wed Sep 02, 2009 3:30 pm

I have a Racing Beat ? style bar on the car and wished to replace it with a Brown Davis
I had installed a BD on my previous car and had no problems.I cannot fathom out how to remove the Racing Beat
Advice please..are they easy to remove or do I need a blow torch and axe or if the effort is too much do I just leave it .

No idea which band my style bar is but it had the two bolts on the top of the seat belt towers and two that came through from underneath too. Took me ages to find them.

Jeo wrote:After much confusion and swearing, turns out there are also two bolts that are inserted from underneath the bar, behind where the seat belt roll lives. Figured out fairly quickly it was a 16mm nut, needed a deep socket to reach it.

Really old photo of the car, but thats the best photo I could find of the style bar.
