Fitting carpet to NA

The carpet in my NA is no more. Under drivers feet there is only floor. I have a new set to fit. Any hints or advise on fitting?

Pretty sure the dash needs to come out to be able to install the carpet.

Stan is right - you can almost get it out except there is a fastener directly in the middle of the transmission tunnel just in front (or maybe just under) the heater box.

With the dash out it is a piece of cake. I haven't tried to get the fastener out without removing the dash - maybe others have some tricks to do this.
