Tried searching but found nothing.
Can anyone tell me if the NB8B center console is a straight swap in for the NB8A center console?
Has anyone here done it?
If its possible, can the locking mechanism be easily swapped over so the ignition key can lock/unlock the console? Same for the gear boot trim, can that straight swap over?
I'm getting extremely frustrated with the lack of usable cup holders in my NB8A (both having to open the entire lid to use it is stupid, as well as the cup holder in the NB8A being too big to hold anything even remotely secure), and figured the NB8B console would remedy this while looking a hell of a lot better than hanging an aftermarket cup holder somewhere in the already cramped interior.

Yes, easy as. Everything fits/works.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

NB8A to NB8B center console swap?
I'll second that, just did the same thing and it is a perfect swap - and while you are in there get one of the Auto window switch mechanisms.
The lock is held by 2 screws so your NB8A lock can be fitted easily.
