ok, I'm looking to get a rollbar a bit later on but I'm a little stumped on which one.
I prefer the single hoop style, and mainly want one for safety rather than looks.
I was looking at a Brown Davis since it has CAMS approval, do these fit on an NB8A with the glass rear window?
do they make the roof any harder to use? ie: does it foul anywhere?
can a person DIY install it? and still get it CAMS certified?
does it cater for harness mounts?
does it reduce seat travel?
I think that's it, sorry about all the questions but I havent been able to have a look at a BD bar on an NB up close.
also I searched but couldnt find any answers for a few of these questions.

They make one to suit the glass window.
They make it harder with a zippered rear window as the bar gets in the way. I've had no problems with my soft top or hard top since fitting the roll bar (I've got an NA6).
You can fit it and get it cams approved, just talk to them when you buy the bar. Fitting is fairly easy, good to have a second person while you do it.
They have captive nuts fitted for a harness already.
Seat travel is not affected, but unless you are fitting a race seat there is the risk of your head hitting the bar in an accident. I run padding on my bar then I fitted a race seat.

BD Rollbars for NB8A?
cool.
looks like Mr Rudd shall be buying me a rollbar
I just wanted to double check first, as all the NA ones I saw had the rear window bent around the bar when the top's off, so I want sure if the BD bar impeeded the roof folding properly.
sweet.

Our NB8A has one.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

payments should be starting any day now.
I need to get off my arse and do my 08 tax return, the return will pay for my transfer fees and rego, and the Stimulus amount will go towards Insurance and a rollbar.

I have a NB Bond Davis in my NA8, as said they get in the way of zipping the rear window, but that wont be a problem for you. I have noticed that the BD's look bloody stupid from behind compared to the rollbars you see in photos of Japanese and US cars, the vertical bars are closer together at the bottom and splay out at the top. I don't know if this would make any difference to strength in the event of a rollover. Also because they are designed for the glass window, the NB bars have the diagonal brace running across the car only, it doesnt go across and to the back like on a NA bar. Again, it looks silly but I don't know if spreading load to the back would be better in a rollover situation or not.

Everything fits fine.....
I have a polished alloy one on the 10AE I am selling (see below - plug plug)
Only thing that is a pain is you pretty much have to get out of the car to pull the roof up as you can't reach back through the roll bar
