Front Indicator air vents

I have just fitted a cold air intake to my 1994 NA. I want to get more air directly to the air filter and wondered if anyone has tried the replacement front indicators that have an air vent. They seem to cost around $200 and want to make sure what I pay for does the job. Any suggestions or comments appreciated.

if you already have a cold air intake why do you need the extra air inlet? what sort of intake is it? or do you mean you just fitted a pod filter?

I fitted a KN Pod Filter with a flexible hose to bring air to the filter. I am unable to run the hose down under the engine due to too much stuff blocking the pathway. I would like to bring air from the front if possible and the indicator inlet seems to fit the bill. I am interested ibn feedback from those who may have tried one. Thanks for the prompt response.

i haven't tried the indicator inlet myself so hopefully you'll get a few more responses to help you out.

the other tried and tested method is to cut a hole in the firewall / cowl and run your cold air from there. but if you're not keen on cutting holes in your car then the indicator inlet could be a good way to go, let's hope you can get some good info here.

Firstly the items you are referring to are called Turn Signal Intakes or T.S.I.s

There are different opinions about their effectiveness but there is a more effective way to direct cooler air into the NA6/8 engine bay - headlight cover intakes.

Reckon if you place a good custom airbox behind the passenger headlight that you will get pretty good 'cold air induction'. Oh and don't forget to remove the plastic tabs on the bonnet that actually will block air coming in through headlight covers if you do take that route.
