Postby m0b1liz3 » Thu May 01, 2008 4:47 pm

The soft top on the car I have is fine but the edges are cracked. Is there any way to get it fixed??

Your description is inadequate. What is cracked- what is the material? If its acomponent of the soft top it may be replaceable

its a sign that your top is getting old and the vinyl has dried out, basically a wear and tear kind of thing. You are best to take it to an auto trimmer and see if it can be fixed. I would suggest that it will not be repairable, but unless it is causing leaks for other 'real' issues I would not bother replacing it just yet....having said that it is a sign that overall the roof is on its last legs.

Just my 2c (not including GST) worth.
