what would guys expect to pay for a new genuine soft top, part only?

From Mazda? Around $1,800 I think. That's not including the frame. :shock:

I paid Lee Brothers $1,000 to supply and fit a new Bestops roof (identical to original) for my NA in 2006.

Or around $550 delivered for a Kwiktop glass rear plus 3 days of my life and a mate to stretch / pull it to fit ... :roll:

I have a thread re this on the forums somewhere but it was about 3-4 years ago ...

Not the sort of thing I'd do on an annual basis but it was an experience in itself ...

Ah ok.

I think i can get one from japan original Mazda for $600 + someone to fit it here..

Could also look at a new Robbins top. US to AUS $ is it's best since the early 80's. Almost Dollar for dollar.

if you're going to pay that much for a new top you'd be better off looking at an aftermarket fabric top, much better than the Mazda vinyl.
