yeah i think the \"enthusiast\" thing, and being a club member and doing some mods actually might help to reduce your premium with shannons. i was astounded recently when i switched to shannons and got a big reduction in my yearly premium from what it was previously with allianz. allianz thought my car was stock, but shannons know about all the mods. go figure!

If you can live with it, why not try a gentle cutting wax to get the marks off, buff it carefully with normal wax. You will still see scratches if you look close enough.
My theory is, if you are not out to impress, and can live with the scars, then why not let it sit until it's time to sell it. So at least IF something bad happens again, you don't have to fix it again.

They told me it made no difference to the premium if I was a club member or not.
