Attention NA owners: tip of cleanning your rear window

Hello,

Just want to share my expereince of a product called \"shower power\". I have just used a small amount of this product to clean my plastic rear window. The dirt is gone with just a couple wipe and a rinse. My rear window is clear again.

It just cost $5 and 1 minute to do the cleaning. It is available from Coles.

mine has a bit of clouding / scratching in the plastic, i think coz the previous owner would drop the top without unzipping the window. reckon this will clear that up a bit? or is there any other product that can fix this?

Meguiars has a Clear Plastic Cleaner and a Clear Plastic Polish that I reckon works great on rejuvenating the rear window...not sure how it works on showers tho.

thanks babs. i think it would probably work great on my shower too, as i have a plastic shower curtain that strating to look a bit mangey :mrgreen:

haha this is almost as bad as using the dishwasher to clean engine/car parts :lol:

(although i have been quilty of this a few times! works a treat by the way

Yeah I have used that for a number of years......one thing to note though while the window will be sparkling clear it will still become brittle over time and may eventually snap......don't ask how I know that..

Fatty if your rear window is clouding up, just use an abrasive polish to get rid of that. I use Mothers Mag and Aluminium polish on my rear window sometimes, and it comes up great.

I also have meguiars plastx polish which works great too, but its not very good for deep scratches.

The PlastX polish doesn't do squat for my window

apart from the cost issue, the glass window doesn't fit my car coz i have a rollbar. so it's plastic window all the way for me, i don't have a choice.
