Well, removing the dash and instrument cluster is the easy part. Should take about an hour. The hard part is putting the new dash back in. This can take hours and lots of swearing. Although i havent done a dash replacement on my five, ive done a few on some corollas and in total i would say it took 4-5hours (also being the first time i had done this) The bit which got me was when the dash was back in, i was left with numerous nuts and bolts which i have no idea where they came from so probably worth noting which bolts/nut came from where. Overall, its a reasonably straight forward job, just very time consuming.

On topic, dashes are easy enough but are time consuming for the first timer. After a couple you'll be whipping them in and out in no time
