calling on the help of NB owners

hey guys,

need your help.

i just installed an NB soft top into my NA..

i was driving down the M4 yesterday when i noticed something flapping around..

there is 2 straps (1 on each side) that have come loose from somewhere..

i couldnt find any screws or anything.. can someone please tell me where they go..

(if you have a pic it would be GREATly appreciated)

I think I know what you're talking about. They're kinda hard to describe. The problem is that although I know they come off one of the metal foldy bar things (for lack of a better term), I don't know where they finish. They go somewhere along the roof to the rear. They're supposed to be tense when the roof is up.

They screw on to 2 of the bolts that hold the soft top on around the back part where to rain rail is,it pulls that part of the frame back when you put the top up to keep tension on the roof.
NC Roadie, NC Racey, ND Racey….and a 30AE

Plus several others in the bone yard...

Did you install the NB soft top frame as well as the soft top, or just the soft top?

Here is a link to the miata.net garage. It is for a frame and soft top swap. It mentions the two straps down towards the bottom of the page (Near the set plate torque sequence details)
