Blowing Headlight Globes

Postby Hammer » Mon Oct 09, 2006 6:57 pm

What is the usual cause(s) if a car keeps blowing globes?

In 12 months, my car has blown 4 globes - all from the passenger side headlight.

Is it a short, loose connection etc? Does anyone know what could be causing it?

And it's not due to cheap globes either. I've had $20 to $60 globes, to no avail.

Are you touching the glass when installing them?

Could have been a bad batch of globes. Did you buy them from the same place? (they could have been from the same batch, if they dont sell too many?)

I had the same prob. a little while back and repco where getting complaints from people so they swapped a few over for me (from another batch)

???

Sorry couldnt be anymore help
