Hey guys - Sorry if this is the wrong place for this thread (Mods feel free to move it to where I should have initiated it)
My passengers side window has jumped off its cables or something... Not sure exactly but have had the door trim off and a poke around and it seems the cables are not right and one is not joined up.
My grandpa has informed me seeing as electric windows were not in his day he needs intructions, diagrams or pics of how its ment to be then he might be able to fix it for me, As we all know Im incompetent at DIY.
Any help or advice would be much apreciated !

About the 5th one I heard of Breaking a cable in the last month
Replacment cables can be bought at mazda and are easy enough to install
You have to remove the whole motor and slider thingy then the old cables
can be rmoved and the new ones intalled in reverse order

Yep - very likely the cables. It's fairly common on the older cars. There are two on each side and they're around $40 - $45 each (from memory). As a bonus they'll make your windows work faster than they probably have for a long time.
The important thing is not to try using your windows until they're fixed. If you keep playing with the button you'll just tangle the broken cable more and possibly burn out the window motor.
