Center dash piece woes

Postby Yoshi » Sat Aug 05, 2006 10:49 am

Hi there,

Just got a new sterio yesterday, sunny day today so i decided to install it. Not looking good so far, whilst trying to remove the eye-ball vents using the guide found on the site i have completely destroyed the dash piece. :( There was already a huge crack on the side which helped the breakage. The vent were also put in, by i can only assume king kong as they were hard as hell to get out. The mistake i made was try more force instead of using a screwdriver to pry it out a little.
Anyways i see this as a good oportunity to upgrade the the console that bridges the gap made when putting in a standard sized radio.
Anyone know the part number for this part? I remember reading a topic about this and tried doing a quick search but nothing. Didnt want to search for much longer as i have to get back into it. I assume that it is avaliable from all mazda dealers? Do i have to get it ordered in? Thanks.
