Annoying Squeak Eliminated

Postby JBT » Tue Aug 01, 2006 8:12 pm

I've had this random squeak coming from the rear of the car for months now. It's been driving me up the wall  .

I finally found the cause today. It was the little rubber bump stops on the boot lid....specifically where they sit against the lid. A little bit of rubber/vinyl protectant stuff to coat the bump stops and silence at last. It was like getting rid of a toothache

Adjusting the boot latch might stop the squeak from coming back
