The hole actually goes pretty much right where the water bottle normally sits:
(the Mania CAI is just the bit from the firewall to the air-flow metre thingo)
Water bottle gets moved, hole gets cut and cold air gets pushed down the windscreen and straight into the air intake. Works well.
I believe Mania do have an NB CAI but it's a completely different design.

Is the location of the hole technically in the firewall as far as CAMS is concerned? There is still solid metal bodywork between the engine bay and the cabin.
