Does a 94 Clubman............ ?

Postby 99MXV » Wed Mar 29, 2006 8:36 am

Come with headrest speakers as standard ?

The zippers are a bit stuck, and I have to loosen them first to check. Does anyone know if they were standard or not ?

Cheers

I hired a brand new Clubman in '94 [didn't want to return it!] but I'm sure it didn't have headrest speakers.
Good luck with your Clubman.....sounds like you did very well 8)

insurance companies seem to think (wrongly) that they do - they insist there are 4 speakers

It's all about the driving, not the tunes with the Clubman

Plus when you're stuck in traffic, the 'driving' don't count for much! :)

Congrats on the purchase, Wayne! Good to see more 94s around.

How simple would it be to install headrest speakers in an NA6 ('89)? I've not looked at the seats with this in mind before, is it a simple mod or would I need seats from a later model?

Apparently the holes are there, so just need speakers and wiring. Some have reported a plug under the seat back to the radio wiring too, but it's only what I've heard as such.

My car had the plug there in the waiting. I just stick the wires in and taped it up... cough. I'd be damned if I could find the corresponding connector to do a proper job, though.
