Push them towards the front of the car and you will see a cutout in the back of the black surround. Carefully push a small flatblade screw driver in there to release the clip. If you look at the new ones you will be able to work out whats going on.
Dont forget to fit the orange bulbs before you put it all back together. The clear bulbs are a bit illegal.

also do they make clear tail lights for the NB, and how do u take off the old tail lights?
You can buy "clear" bulbs from www.MX5Mania.com.au they flash orange. You have to then remove the orange plastic from the insides of the lens. Then your MX-5 won't look cross-eyed.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re:
What year model is your NB? If is 98-2000, you will need to take the plastic off the inside (like Okibi said) or if you have a very late 2000-2005, you'll only need to replace the bulb.Erwino wrote:my NB has a orange dot on the inside of each of the headlights, any way of replacing that orange circle without replacing the whole headlight.
