Hi there does anyone know what the black plastic strips do that sit under the bonnet around the pop up head lights.
I have installed a pod filter and will be fabricating a boxed area around the intake thought I might get a scoped vent in the head light cover to bring in more fresh air.
By removing these black plastic strips it may allow more air to flow in from between the bonnet and the light cover.
Any thoughts??

i removed mine to allow a bit more air in. i believe its only there to stop dirt/rain etc from getting into the bay. havn't had issues here with it removed, but i did silicone some electrical plugs in the area to waterproof them.
once the left headlight winked while raining. only the left side & one wink, maybe the car was hitting on some other automobile..
