Well i'm taller than you and i've found no problem, but i guess i'm use to my spitfire which is even worse.
I use them more turned back towards me to block sun going over the top of the windscreen (roof off) than i do turning them down when the sun is low is the sky.
I guess removing them could void your insurance.

Follow the good advice from others re your droopy visors.
I don't want to offend you, but I would like to draw attention to those who think they don't need to use their tonneu cover to protect their soft-top roof when folded down. Your photo clearly shows the effects of UV damage which over time fades the underside of the soft-top. The fading is not the worst......the UV weakens the material which can lead to tears/splits in your roof.
I know it's tempting not to fit the cover each time, BUT it pays off in the long run.
