Power steering walkabout fixes

Lost a power steering belt at Sandown yesterday. Other people have reported similar issues when on track and confirm that the belts not failing but are coming off the pulleys.
Anyone know of any simple fixes? For instance, are there ready made pulleys with a larger flange to better retain the belt?
PS Yes, it was a brand new belt following an air conditioningectomy. Yes. I should have checked the tension after driving 1100kms back from NitroDann's workshop and before taking it on the track. Didn't though. Serves me right.

Remove the power steering pump and depower the rack and never have to worry about belt tension again.

while I agree with removing power steering, Its not an option for everyone.
My son who drives Patchy now, is physically of a very tiny stature. While driving is fine. Trying to do a 3 point turn in our front yard is almost an impossibility for him. Yes a standard MX5 would probably be fine. But I refuse to go back to standard suspension & wheel tyre combo. That's just for me personally. But I want my son to have a great experience driving the car.
So weights may have to start appearing in his room.

Just keep checking it, it will be fine.
Limiter bashes can de-tension them momentarily too.

I assume because of the sudden power cut causing the belt/tensioner to get some shock load and loosen off?

Yeah and a revlimiter especially on a high powered car is a violent rpm oscillation so all sorts of stuff can happen, the belt can pop off slightly and run until next time you aska lot of it, like 7000rpm sharp turn in etc.
