RaceCapture Pro - data logging

I've been looking into the RaceCapture Pro data logger. http://www.autosportlabs.com/product/racecapturepro/

It's really cool and the inner geek is trying to resist purchasing one to muck around with. I'm pretty sure I could use my elite hacker skills to script the required CANbus connection to the Haltech. This would give me all my ECU logging data, plus GPS and gyro data live on a tablet dash via bluetooth, and accessible live online.

Has anyone played with one yet? It looks like a much more cost effective option than all the current players in this field. Plus I could use it to do things like make an active rear wing, or run a HUD to show if I'm up or down on my previous PB.
