Really dude?...
Drive-day is another way of saying track day. Being 172cm i dont see it being a problem for me.

Would this be a bit of a cop magnet on the road?

I wouldn't be surprised if wearing a helmet on the road wasn't legal.
Lack of vision etc.

Im around 188 cm and I can wear a helmet while the roof is up at track days with no issues.

I'm assuming either short torso, or a lot of seat recline?
edit: or a seat much lower than stock
I'm about 182cm or so, and I can't wear a helmet with the roof on.
Stock seat had no hope (even without anythign on my head I hit the roof)
OBX Bucket seat stopped me hitting the roof, but still not enough for a helmet
Current Mazdaspeed bucket (with a few washers for more recline than normal) gives more room than the OBX, but again, still not enough for a helmet.
With the cushion removed from the Mazdaspeed seat I could probably fit with a helmet on.

Nic,
If this is the case then the the relevant authorities should have a close look at hoodies and while they are at it the use of headphones by drivers !
Greg.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

headphones are illegal, hoodies are not. wont stop a cop pulling you over though. hoodies on would be cop bait.

I agree.
Headphones and modern car sound deadening is why I've put air horns on the Mx5, and now the Kingswood

... I know im like a broken record but it doesnt matter at all what the actual laws say, or even if they are good or just the cops will book whoever they want for whatever they want. There is a huge gang of them, they are well funded, they have guns, its a boys club and you aren't in it.
So either live life how you want and F the police, or live it in fear and dont wear a hoodie or a helmet and drive a white camry.

Yea seat is reclined all the way back then as far back as it will go. In the mornings and if I sit up dead straight in the seat my head can touch the roof with no helmet on. With helmet on I dare say Im probably slouching a bit but I didn't find it uncomfortable last track day but probably not ideal for long track times. A sparco sprint v is on the cards in the near future to provide more head room.

Well it seemed obvious to me that people use helmets at the track..... And hence a daft question.
And the other question was about normal driving so I assumed it was a term for spirited driving.
