http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/viewi ... 0886067882Massive overkill but reckon they would fit nc?
Wanting to do rx8 hub upgrade also.
Wondering if knuckle/ upright is the same from a bracket/mounting point of view?
Think rotor is 320x28

Might be overkill money wise.

LOL, I thought you were talking about the
App for racing the NC, which is certainly not overkill. I think it's a great idea.
Can't help on the Ap though, sorry.

If you are at the limits if the stock brakes then knock yourself out...I would be looking at wilwood for half the price though.
If you are no way near the limits of your brakes save your money for something else or just send it to me to waste for you.

Well, if you want to upgrade brakes. 2 piece rotors cost $900 pair,
Pads $250, lines $150
Makes it seam doable.
And no. I will keep my $ for me or for track mods!

The brembo upgrade was a bargain for those who managed to snaffle one cheap from the states.
I'd love a set of AP brakes, I seem to remember a mates weren't ADR approved because they need dust covers. Not sure if it was the metal plate behind the rotor or rubber seals on the piston, I'm sure there's smart people here who can elaborate.

I priced doing an rx8 caliper upgrade with 2 piece rotors, pads and lines.
Comes in at about $1500, so if you bargained a bit on this kit in eBay it is compatible, and would be lighter.
I am building the race car and have not even drĂven it yet, so no idea how standard sized brakes hold up.
I was keen to do some 1hr events, and imagine this would be harder on brakes

Hard circuit use changes everything. Disc thickness is the limiting factor...disc thickness is what gives the brakes the ability to hold heat.
My old NA turbo race car had Impreza STI calipers up front and R34 GTR brake discs as they are readily available and are 30mm thick. When it ran on the stock 22mm thick mazda discs it would happily destroy a set in one weekend.
I thought RX8 brakes were similar or the same as NC brakes?
