Got this as a reply.
' The manufacture date will be between 04 and 09, and it will be $50 for postage."
They sound potentially quite old.
How much of an issue is this and is it worth the savings? What do we all think?

i have been running 07 advan ao48's - still out grip my daily's - and in the wet too. They're hard as hell - if you're waiting to brake records or actually race on them - you might want newer tyres - if its just sprints and stuff, i wouldnt see the harm in them being a bit old. Just think, you'll learn to steer better.

It also depends on how they've been stored. If they were near the roof of the warehouse then they could be rooted; down in the cool and dark then they could be OK. For track work I'd ask for the 09s only, examine each one before fitting and take the chance on them at that price. I wouldn't touch 04s.
