http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k88l6P8O12IView from a Porsche 944, having a few problems with the gear change but ƒü¢k do these things go!!!!!
Look out around the 12min mark and make sure you have clean undies and you belt is tight.
Comments, its not Teds first visit to EC.( the Lambo driver) not sure who they were passing but he or she did everything they were told and are expected to do at the drivers briefing. Gotta feel for the bloke in the black Lotus.
So why pass there on the outside???

Ouch.
I didn't even see that happening the first time I watched it. When you said around the 12 minute mark, I expected a big off with someone on the outside of turn 1. It all happened fairly fast.

yeah it was all done within a second hey way too quick.
I dont think i'll ever do one of those prod sport races due to the other types of cars on the track.
While you are both running the one race - you are both going hard and to go well in your class - but the differnce in speeds of the cars are huge!
before you know it there are lambo's and porka's behind you!
the lamo at the start seemed to be over the shop...relying on the car itself though..the porka bloke can certainly steer though!

Ouch! The driver of the Hydrawash NA (Michael or Steven?) was lucky not to get taken out too!

He was just holding his line. The guy in the Lambo was a bloody twat overtaking on the outside!
Was that the same Lambo that spun on turn 1 earlier in the same video?

Quick look....Lambo dropped a wheel off the edge, came on again too hard, lost it.
The Porsche guy is positively dangerous!!!
Imagine being behind him when he slows so dramatically with a missed gear!!!

Was there a resolution to the crash incident? What was the outcome? Any of those NCs running forced induction?

I agree with the statement above, the Lambo hit the dirt, and when traction returned hit the car to hard, the driver couldn't hold it.. I am unsure from watching the video a few times if the NA was even contacted. I do feel for the driver of the Lotus

Here is the accident highlight video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mgot5iGLtRAHmm... Interesting video! The guy driving the Lambo at the time, Ted Huglin, is the owner who isn't anywhere near as quick or experienced as Allan Simonson who also drives the car. I think Simonson did a 1.28 in it where Huglin is a lot slower.
Anyone notice that at no point does the mx5 hit the brakes!

Unfortunately in Prod. Sports there are quite a few drivers with loads of money and not much driving talent....I have had a run in with a few of them over the years, luckily the front of a MX5 is very strong and you can give a Lotus or a Porch a pretty hard whack without doing any damage to the MX5...
I guess the only good thing about this crash was the Lambo only took out one of the other rich guys....could have been way worse.
