Anyone in QLD doing the Lakeside track day on the 18th?

Right,
I would be keen to have a track day at Lakeside park which is being organised by the MX5 QLD club for the 18th October. Is anyone going?
On the website it says "non-member payments" etc. and also "on the day payments" so I presume anyone not joined to the club can turn up and do the trackday? Surely they have a max amount of cars that can turn up though?
Anyone here doing it?

Going to be a big day
It's a full day at lakeside and non members are only $130 that very cheap for a half day
But you get a whole day
Would think it should see atleast 50 cars
And yes I'm going all paid

Cool - do you know if there is a limit to the amount of cars they can let enter? Don't want to turn up on the day and find out it's fully booked.

There have never been so many entries that a limit has been placed before... Why don't you contact the guy organising the day at
teamzoom@miata.net.au and ask the question? Alternatively, make a commitment now, pay the $130 entry fee, get confirmation of your place and save yourself $10 into the bargain. Telephone contact numbers are on
the website here.

I will be there, along with heaps of other cool MX5rs.
Generally plenty of room for more to join in.
And being all day, it is cruzy and not as rushed as half day events.
Get plenty of time to talk to others and check out other setups.
Why dont you join the club?

Is this replacing the November 3rd event? Or just an extra event?
Edit/ Just checked website. Looks like it is replacing the 3rd Nov event. Poo as I dunno if the car will be ready in time.
As for numbers, everytime the MX5CCQ has had a full day event, numbers are between 50-55. Normally get 6-7 runs of 5 laps without a problem.

Grrr that sux.
As for being a non member of the MX5CCQ. Do not worry about it. I am a non member and I never turn up in a MX5 to have a go. But they are always welcoming, very friendly and helpful.
Give it a go. I suggest you pay upfront so you don't have to worry about it on the day. Just have your paper work filled out, and your morning will be easy as at sign up.

Yes I might do the same. The camera never comes out when I'm doing the driving. If I'm out, I might as well get some awesome pics.

Hope this weather sorts itself out for next Monday.
The long range forecast is not promising.

I'm going to have my wet weather tyres there Minx just in case.
The organisers would probably love some help from project r. racing and 1red5 if you guys are going to be there but not driving.
