Here we go again, the new race car!

Postby SKYHI » Tue Apr 28, 2009 8:08 pm

Well it only took one trip back to the track to realise that I make the worlds worst spectator, and that I was probably a bit hasty in selling my first race car. So a week after my trip to Lakeside, I purchased another road registered NA to start the process all over again.

This time though, it's a late 1993 NA8C, which I picked up complete with a hardtop at the right price.

And here it is just after I got it home:

Spent the last weekend stripping it all out in preparation for the roll cage.

And here's what came out:

Most of this stuff will be posted in the for sale section shortly.

Paul.

A guy named Kev Jennings from KR Rollcages. Used him last time and was happy with the work. Cost me about $1700 for a full weld in 6 point cage with removable side intrusion bars.

I'll post photos when I get it back.

Congrats, love the boot spoiler
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Nah mate, the annoying thing is I don't plan to change much at all from the red one. Probably run AVO shocks and King springs, as I can't afford the Teins this time around

Just get it finished this time

Keep us posted.

Hey Bruce, you can have the big bike as it's my wifes and she doesn't ride it anyway, but the small bike is mine, hands off!

I was still jumping through hoops till well after entries closed.

The car is ready for track work though (suspension aligned, exhaust done). I'll be at Lakeside May 4, QR (either me or co-driver or both) May 10 and solo again for QR May 16-17.

Have fun this weekend, I'll see you at QR on the 10th.
