This is really awesome... i have e-mailed at least 30ppl and they have forwarded it to, as well as notifying Ozhonda (Australia's largest Honda Forum), SAU (skyline Australia, which surprisingly has a large track/racing community) and EVOOZ (EVO Forum and we all know they are all in to tracking - as they go so fast so easy )
Cheers Dave.

For those that might not have seen the latest plan of the complex here it is - http://www.mgcarclub.com.au/htmpages/rn ... ayout1.pdf
In these days of Govt. complaining about the road toll, young drivers, street racing and all the other rants this faciltiy can only have a positive impact for the Hunter.
Get behind it everyone.

Hi Everyone,
It has been a long time since the last post on this topic and unfortunately this post is not being written with excitement.
Since the last post, we had a hearing in the Land and Environment court in June 08 to once again battle it out with Port Stephens council in frnt of a comissioner. The week started with the commisioner and various parties actually visiting the proposed deveopment site in person (in a gigantic Hummer) with respective representatives from both sides.
During the week long court hearing, council just happend to pull a stunt by draggin the RTA into the hearing with concerns of extra traffic on the Raymond Terrace bypass/Pacific highway and risk of Itaia Road/Pacific Highway intersection congestion and collisions.
Anyway, after a week long hearing our case appealing against councils decision looked strong and had positive elements entwined within no doubt some negative or loss toward some of the points discussed- the commissioner decided that he needed to review to evident and case notes himself and as such reserve his ruling for a later date.......
.... this date turned out to be today.
The verdict ..................The appeal for development to go ahead has been \"Refused on all related issues presented\" - I am yet to read a full copy of the determination handed down, but as you can imagine this is devestating news.
Many people have contributed finacially to this cause over the past 7-10 years as well as significant chunks of peoples personal time and life - for this I would like to say thankyou to all those people as well as people from this and other forums and motorsport groups that have support this cause.
Maybe it is now time to look for some new land in a area that would like to have a motorpsort complex there - who knows what the future holds.

Appalling decision.
Time to ring ACA and lead the story with....
\"The council who doesn't want to take speed off the streets....\"
Appallingly, short sighted, small minded moronic bureacracy at it's best. Whoever it was that suggested local councils be disbanded just won some more votes.

2006 Z06 Corvette - 650hp of wow!
Terrible decision by the court.
If you can't build a race circuit in a semi rural area like Port Stephens then where do you have to go to build one......West Broken Hill?
I agree with CT.....contact ACA or Today Tonight and speak to them about the council who opposes the idea of taking speed off the streets.
