Have organised another track day at Morgan Park, on Sunday 25th May, morning session, 8.00 am to 12.00 pm

Also listed in Events section, very little response (1 reply), so this will be the last day I try to organise for you guys.

Mazlot are you a prick or do your posts just come across that way.

$195 is a bit steep compared to Queensland raceway $80 or is the the price high because it's a Sunday.

I would be in on a weekday at a price lower than $100, but guess I'm not welcome because of the prick comment, just the way your post sound.

Mate, and I don't use the term as an endearment, I am a huge prick, especially to dickheads who talk through their backsides, and make stupid comments without any knowledge of events.

For your information, that is the cost charged by the Company I am booking the track through, but you are correct, you will never know

In fact, I will show you how big a prick I am, no more spots are available to this forum, all because of you.

And as previously stated, no more, it's like pulling teeth, getting you people off your arses to participate in anything, apart from at the last minute, when you may decide to grace us with your presence.

whoa! :?

for the record hillsend, i know mazlot personally, & far from being a prick, he's a top bloke that will usually help anyone when asked, i don't know where ANYONE gets off saying things like that about someone they don't even know, you are WAY out of line :?

also for the record, Morgan Park is owned by different people than QR, & by all accounts is a far more interesting track, obviously their price structures are different, & Mazlot is just trying to give people some variety & a different challenge.

learn to use some tact & you may get a better response i think.

Obvious statement, but Morgan Park has always been more expensive than QR, and QR has always been relatively cheaper than most, if not all, tracks nationally.
I am assuming the reason why MP is dearer is the usual law of supply and demand. QR has a larger catchment area and more than 50% of days are booked a year in advance.
MP is relatively seldom used due to its location, and thus their shareholders must charge more in order to make up for it.

So yes, $195 is more expensive than $95 and not many can afford it, but $95 is also expensive and some can't afford that either.

A 600mL bottle of Coke is $2.20 from the corner shop, but you can get a 2L bottle from Coles for $2.50

Everything is relative.

The MX-5 Club of Qld also gets a special rate from QR which is passed on to club member entrants at club track days.

And for someone who has been a member of this forum for years and has less than 100 posts one would assume you aren't all that interested in contributing, hillsend. Don't know when your last post was or what it's tone was but perhaps you should just pull your head in and keep your mouth shut and not be abusive to those who are frequent and valued forum members. All IMO of course.

I'm more than happy to pay $200 for a track day at Morgan Park, no matter what day or night of the week it is... it's a fantastic track, and last time we did this we had instructors riding in the cars with us if we wanted them to, so I guess some of the cost helps pay their wages. Again, I for one am happy to pay for that too. The track day was very well organised as a result.

If you can't afford it hillsend, that's not our fault.

i'd suggest you probably pay for both tracks on a price per corner basis.

If you want to spend you time waiting for something to do go to QR and a few corners will trouble you morgan park has many more corners and much more fun.

(i have only been on qr as a passenger and even in a porsche it seemed boring)

Mazlot would be there but mine is flat as a tack at the moment still spending to much money on the house

Just to keep things relative, without the club discount on qr it would cost around 140 and MP is a ten times better track. I would be there in a flash for 195 if I could afford that sort of moneys. As it is I am only a student living away from home so I can't. But that price is by no means over the top.

a man spoke to a budgie who new a guy who new the uncle of a guy who was going out with the sister of a bloke who new another bloke who's sister had shagged a guy who's aunt had known a bloke who owned a car that someone else had dríven around a race track that knew a guy who owned a coat that knew another guy who had access to MP.

in other words

Morgan Park

May 25, which is a Sunday, which is on a weekend, earlyish.

$195, nothing else to pay, except it being no later than a lot in advance.

QR would cost, whoever would like to organize same, $$$$$'s for a Saturday or Sunday, if a day would be available throughout 2008, which there isn't :(

none, it's covered by the company it's organised through.

$195 is total cost

you will need a helmet and ankle to wrist clothing too.
