ditto with JBT.
Got my alignment redone today and it feels like i'll be able to stick to corners a bit better. A worrying find was that I could only get 1deg neg camber on the front right! Must have been in a whack back in Japan. Lucky its a mainly left hand track. See you guys tomorrow.

stupid farken radiator fan fuses

Thought I'd stop in @ the Super dodge @ Yamanto there and pick up a fuse.....which I did  only to discover 5km down ther road that I still needed to run with the heater on as the 40A fuse for the fans in the engine bay had blown now too   ! That wasn't too bad untill the accident on the OTHER side of the road had all of the rubber neckers out in force and about a 3 to 4km stretch in 1st and 2nd gears    Got through that OK if a lil' uncomfy only to get held up again on the Gateway bridge all the way through to the Nudgee petrol station due to a non-existant 2 car accident and again in 1st and 2nd gear     ! But on a good note, the car made it home and held the same temp all the way here....even in the traffic  .....but with the heater on full blast :(

It's no ones fault but I had a crap day but I don't think I'm the only one :(

Damn, how hot was it? The highest track temp I saw was 50.6 degrees  with an air temp of 38.? degrees  Not ideal racing conditions but fun none the less

How'd everyone else go, any PB's set?

Good to see you all again too and thanks to those that offered fuses to help me out a bit 8)

Sorry to see you had a day from hell, but what about poor Fish and his radiator top tank explosion

Max held together even though his driver was heat soaked. Don't know if I had a PB.......but I did pass a Skyline R33 GTST because I was quicker through the bends.........so I'm feelin' gooooood.

Achieved my aims - a lot less fuel in the tank, a whole lot of melted tyre rubber, some worn brake pads, no damage to the car and a drive home with a big smile. :)

Yup, that was a genuine PITA for him :( but a bloody impresive explosion all the same! I really would expect a hose to blow before one of the tanks gave out :?: Poor bugger got 1 decent run I think and that was it and then had to load her on a trailer. As he said though, it's a good opportunity to upgrade to a nice new PWR or similar radiator 8)

The heat seemed to take it's toll on a few cars today. The guy in the STI beside me in the morning session cracked his front rotor in a pretty major way and then decided he'd be OK to drive home on it   :?

JBT - I bet ya the Skyline dude wouldn't share your enthusiasm  Beaten by a hairdressers car dríven by an ol' man

**shuts down computer and runs to the bedroom to hide**

So did I...

Unfortunately the Boagsmobile and the Dustbin (datsun 240K) were not trackable this week... :frown: But I helped out all day, got a passenger ride with Keith's beasty NA8, and then, I went home the long way...

Not one car between Lake Samsonvale and Samford. Perfect whether at 6pm and a big BIG smile!

I was really sorry to hear about all the mishaps that happened though! :x Always so frustrating! Chin up though.

Cheers,

Boags

What a day!!! How hot was it!!!!

Well at the last three trackdays I've attended I've raced OMX-596, and I forgot to reset my brain before I got back into ORX-626 :?

The first session I attempted to drive ORX-626 like OMX-596.....wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong!!!!!!!!

Everything is different....turn-in, braking markers, right foot modulation, lines....doesn't leave much else to change

Anyhow, after resetting the grey matter I settled down into a rhythm and notched up a PB on all 4 circuits :D :D :D which I'm absolutely stoked with. Best of all, the 626 survived the day!!!

As always it was great to catch up with you guys!!! :P

Cheers,
Danny

yeah was good to catch up with you all and meet a few of you I have been
meaning to catch up with....

The day wasn't quite what I expected but hey I have had a fair run with the
turbo car ...something had to give eventually ...anyways $ 132 to get it towed
back wasn't too bad and have decided to swap the race car radiator
into the street car and buy a PWR or similar for the race car.

SO all worked out OK in the end.....

see you all out there next year...!!
