NSW: Want a crack at a 6 round drivers series?

Postby CT » Thu Jun 08, 2006 4:51 pm

It is a 6 round multi skilled driving event. It takes place over 6 different days spread between now and the end of the year. You will compete in different disciplines in your own car and other cars (for eg Commodore Cup Cars and 4WDs).

Events and dates include-
- June 13 Oran Park North Circuit (Figrue 8 and driftland)
- July 11 Eastern Creek Karts
- Aug 23 Oran Park 4wd Outback Rally Attack
- Sept 27 Oran Park south in own cars and Commodore V8s
- Oct 13 Eastern Creek Skid Pan - 5-9pm Night Challenge
- Nov 15 Oran Park Skid Pan in own cars

It is run by Auto Motion Australia with V8 Development Series Driver Aaron McGill running the show. This will be my 4th year competing in this series. Why am I telling you this - because it would be great to see some new faces and new competition. It is best described as the only all driving discipline event of it's type available anywhere in NSW.

Cost is $275 per driver per event. I am pretty sure there's a discount for prepayment of all six events too. Includes BBQ lunch and most likely a quiet ale at the end of the day. It is limited to 14 drivers in total. You will get plenty of track time, strong competition and have the ability to learn and build on your skill set - which is the whole reason I love it. I never fail to learn something. Plus, it's a heap of fun. The whole series is videotaped and presented at the end of the year Xmas party along with trophy.

Again, I compete in the series and apart from being mates with McGill and occasionaly instructing for him, that's my affiliation. Contact them on 48722622 if you are interested. I'd love to see some MX5ers there. We are extremely competitive in all disciplines. No special licenses or safety gear apart from a helmet is required. I even run on street tyres - all good fun.
