Dates for the first half of 2006/2007 season.

Well here we are, the new dates including driver training for the next six months.
I have spoken to BMW and we will run a fair bit with them. Their days are a bit more expensive BUT you will get heaps and heaps of track time. Well over double what you get now. Max 50 or so entries. For BMW days, we will only pay the BMWCCV fee for entry. There is also a possibility that if days with them get 50 or so drivers, there may be a reimbursement to each driver of $20plus.
They aren't in it for a profit but obviously must cover costs. Each track now costs around $8000 to hire for the day. A large outlay for a car club.
We will also continue a fair bit with AROCA. I am trying to run with clubs that are happy for our standard class drivers to run without rollover protection so as to continue to encourage newbies to come along.
As most of you in modified and open have rollbars this should not be much of an issue. All cars running track tyres will be required to run a rolbar ofd at least Brown Davis style. I am awaiting an official reply as to what future requirements AROCA will have.
So without further ado, proposed dates thus far are;
BMW 8 July Winton Driver Training
AROCA 23 July Phillip Island R1
BMW 19 August Sandown R2
FFCC 10 September Winton R3
Interstate challenge TBA/6hr practice
BMW 7 October Calder R4
AROCA 4-5 November Winton 6Hr
AROCA 17 December Phillip Island R5
BMW dates already have entry forms and supp regs available on their website. BMW contact website is.....http://bmwccv.bmwclubs.asn.au
A huge thanks to Sam for putting together a preliminary set of dates.
There will also be a motorpsort info night coming up orgabnised by Sam for anyone who wants changes to the championship, or info or just a chance to catch up. One proposal is to have a stock class for vehicles with no mods, then modified for current 3 mod standard tyred cars, super modified for current modified class and then open.
We'll keep you posted and remember to send me any ideas or chat to Sam or Dave Jones.
