I was in the Clio and Silver MX5.
I have been looking at the Kirkey and Ultra shield Aluminum Seats.
How do you Find it comfort wise?
Could you do a round trip to Wakefield In it?
Do you run a back support for the seat?
I like how low and cheap they are but am worried that they are not FIA approved and have seen pictures of them bending in accidents.
Then again a ton of people in the States are running them with no issues.
The ones bending I assume do not have the required back brace.

Yeah, was running the Rx7, but am now running the little red NA8.
Comfort wise, i wouldnt recommend it for a daily driver seat, but its not too bad driving to and from the race tracks, though i do have the fabric/foam cover (i think ~$100) and a cushion behind my lower back (ive got bulged lower discs), but it all depends on your body type i guess. It's also quite difficult to get out of the car with the model i have, though im only 27 so im putting up with it for now.

So this is what happening with PSCRAQ this year,

21-22 March Morgan Park – PSCRAQ Rnd 1
11-12 April QRDC Rnd 2 Ipswich – PSCRAQ Rnd 2
31 May Top Gear Rnd 2 Lakeside – PSCRAQ Rnd 3
27-28 June QRDC Rnd 3 Lakeside – PSCRAQ Rnd 4
5-6 September Morgan Park – CUE enduro
17-18 Oct Ipswich Classic Ipswich – PSCRAQ Rnd 5 (possible club 1-hour)
14-15 November Morgan Park – PSCRAQ Rnd 6

So if like me you don't have a CAMS license and can't afford min 2 days off for a race meet @ MP, its not really hard to NOT go racing this year or
I could just go and play down south and take holidays when required. I'm sure someone could show me how to lap Wakefield quickly

2F,

Definitely dead and buried in Victoria.

Also in NSW, SA and probably WA ( not really sure if it ever was in SA & WA )

So Qld is the final hope of keeping 2F alive, oh dear, better organise the wake now.

As those in da know will tell ya, 2F has always been super strong in Queensland ( land of Queens?????)
This weekend PSCRAQ will field 4 x 2F cars, f&*ken what!!!!!!! yep there are 4 2F cars entered as of Thursday.

So what the ƒü¢k happened????

Dunno.

Too busy inviting non prod cars, too many GT cars or just treating 2F owners like ???????? so they have gone away?????

Will I race with them again? again Dunno, my car won't do 1.25 sec laps on the National at QR, so I'm not wanted apparently.

So, me along with quite a few will wait and see, luckily I can drive mine anywhere but gez there are a lot of cars in sheds doing nuffing,
just sitting and waiting.......................................

MX5 Cup Qld style anyone???????

If the rules of such an event were a bit open, allowing folks who've not built a 2F compliant car to participate then yeah, I'd be attending for sure... bring it on!!!

My understanding is Mazda piston engined mx5s, that must be distinguishable as an Mx5 and cannot run faster than X (1:05 @ Wakey)
So it means 2f 2b or cars like mine (turbo na6) are all welcome, and the whole attitude of the racers seems a lot better than the prodsports races I remember from my youth watching my parents race... Almost like someone took away the sheep stations.

I put my first entry in today and I am looking forward to my debut at the end of the month at round 2! Can't wait!
So lets go!

So tuesday night 28th April, Salisbury Hotel.
PSCRAQ is holding a meeting to discuss the low numbers so far this year in competition and memberships.

I'm no longer a member, but may just go to see what they want or intend to do.

I'll keep you posted.

They have finally worked out that the GT cars have screwed over the Prod. sports class....what have I been telling them for years????

QLD are now starting up a 2F only class, won't work in southern states cause there are not many 2F cars but should be OK up there....

I reckon it would be better just going back to running MX5 class like it used to be....does anyone really care if the prod. sports thing just falls in a heap???

When is qld doing 2f only?
Some of the cars still have double the hp as others... that's racing though.

MX5 class would be nice.

So this has only come about in the last few days then?????

We have plenty of cars up here, but I seriously wonder how many will come out and play. And also how many will play fair, I seriously doubt that there are many fully compliant 2F cars anywhere.

And what about those who are building, or racing 2B cars and don't want to race a MX5?????
