I spoke to Chris G yesterday.
He wants a strict set of rules put in place so that the man with the deepest pockets doesn't go out and spend mega dollars on an NC and just drive away from everybody.
What he wants to put in place will have an NC running the same sort of pace as the developed 2F NA's.
Chris is all for good, hard close racing without breaking the budget.
I won't go into detail i will let Chris speak to you all, but his ideas are fantastic and if it all comes together i will definantly be in an NC for 2010. We have already discussed some figures and believe me they will be a pretty cheap racecar.
And all in all it will mean more MX5's on the track.
Cheers
Brett

yeah i have heard a bit from Cal on this
and have thrown him a few ideas
i am looking forward to hear what Chris comes up with .
i know that I and a lot of the other guys will only buy into an NC series
if there are a strict set of rules so as what has happened in the NA's can't happen
i also would like to see it implemented in a way such that the current NA's don't become worthless...
i am loving the concept and will definitely support it ...

That's great news. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's concerned that their investment will become uncompetitive overnight, because someone with deeper pockets can afford to build a quicker car. I know that has already happened to some extent with the NA cars, but the gap is not that great, and some driver ability can still make the difference. Obviously the concern is that the NC seems to have so much potential that they could end up streaking the NA field and then it's game over.
If these regs can be introduced in a way that keeps them on par with the developed NAs, then it's a win win for the category because there will still be some subtle differences between the two models, which will make for some interesting dices, and at the same time, the NA cars that may be put on the market can still be sold as "competitve" cars and they will retain some value.
Look forward to hearing more about the proposed regs, maybe in a new thread
Paul.

Not sure at this stage but we as a class have a bit of pull with Lakeside and John Tetly so if the moons alligne it could be a possibility.
Biggest factor is the ongoing legal battles with Lakeside and when the reno's will be finished.

Neil, are they Nissan 4-pot 'Sumitomo' calipers on the front? How hard were they to fit up and what disk are you running? Looks great!
