It's worth the membership fee for access to cheap track and driver training days let alone the other club activities and member discounts.

I guess I am not the sort to be a car club member - I join - but can never get the time to attend anything I want to.

Guess I'm lucky in that regard in that I can make time for club things. It's difficult if you're working or committed to other things on weekends though.

Single membership (which includes a once-off joining fee) is $35.00 for this quarter until 30 June 2007. Then the annual single membership (1 Jul - 30 Jun) is $60.00 - cheap :)

You can join online here by following the links. Alternatively, email me (click on my email icon) and I'll send you a printable membership application form which you can post in to the membership secretaries with your cheque/money order etc. Or you can complete the application and bring it to the next club run with your cash.

If you want to join, we can make it happen

Only just saw this (had practically discounted driver training due to PL insurance but I am very pleasantly surprised).....

Are there still places available??

If there are can I please take 1 at least (for SWMBO Jen) or two - one for me too as I am well overdue.

I think there is already a 20+ waiting list. The club has changed for the better UA. There may be more driver training in the year.

Keep an eye on the club websiteand club forum for upcoming events. There are track days planned for August, September and November.

By the way - can I suggest that next time this gets posted in the EVENTS section??? I rarely look at the Motorsports thread - and had this been in events I think I would have noticed it significantly sooner.

And my email software often picks up multipost stuff like newsletters as spam, so I may have missed a recent mailout.

I'll look forward to some more driver training - trackdays are usually weekdays, and being a contractor it becomes VERY expensive to take days off.

I think there were about a dozen or so confirmed responses to this driver training day within an hour of it being posted.

QR is booked out well in advance for weekdays (thus the gap between now and next track day) and weekend days are basically not available at QR for club type events. I understand there are no spots available for the rest of this calendar year.

Any idea when we find out if our payment was received, and that we are in? :)
