Thanks guys. I've just stepped up for air after racing at sandown on the weekend at the Shannons Nationals - more on that later. Phillip Island is such a fantastic track for a fast well mannered car that I lvoe going there every year. This year the heavens opened up giving me the best chance ever of having a strong result. After having a moment with a tyre wall on saturday morning I though my weekend was going to be short but it buffed out and I did a single flying lap in the wet to claim 10th on the grid. This all changed with the co-drivers session being dry pushing me back to 23rd for a race start. I had some great battles through the race but overtaking the Maserati and sticking with the David Wall GT3 in the damp conditions were a couple of highlights. I have stuck some stuff on You Tube to give you an idea of the conditions and just how to use a safety car to your advantage.

Nice move around the outside of the Keefer/Marsh MX5 and the Maserati in the second vid.

You'll get yourself a reputation for driving in the wet if you're not careful, well done Chris :)

What a weekend!!

I was very happy to beat all the 2F MX5s in the Co-Drivers race on Saturday and have the 2nd fastest 2F lap for the weekend by .07 of a second! 1.54.35.

A moment of inexperience meant I lost about a minute and a half (and as such letting our main competition catch up the minute twenty I pulled in the first 10 laps) by ending up in the kitty litter in the 1 hour. Luckily I could get out of the kitty litter and continue. We finished the race, which meant Paul took out 2nd in the 1 hour series for the year.

I can't wait for the 2010 series - I'm there with bells on.

Thanks to all the guys there for making it such an enjoyable trip.

Yep - Cal's right. What about the Keefer car - probably does run your wheels Emilio. Of course, if you decide to do a 17x8 at any time, I could be persuaded to change....
