The rain stayed away 8)

First outing for the NA6 (street tyres) started out with 1.24s and finished with a bunch if 1.19 lows. Was great to get back to the track after 4 years away from it.........cant wait for the next one

Another great track day, as usual, fantastic organisation by MX 5 club. Thanks guys and girls for all the effort.
Got a 1:11:99 say a 1:12. Water pump was leaking and that is my excuse for the day. Had to stop 4 times on the way home to top up.
The conditions for most of the day were perfect; the first few laps were fun with some wet patches on the exit of 2 corners and on one on the straight just past the tower.

Terrific organisation as usual - it was a nice change to be driving today instead of being a \"helper\".

Managed a 1:13.4 ish I think. Found out the car seems quickest with 3/4 of a tank of fuel. At least that correlates with my morning and afternoon fastest times after a splash of fuel after lunchtime.

Also found out that 195 tyres are not enough for an SP, even if they are semi-slicks. Power oversteer was there for the taking in almost any corner in almost any gear

Oh - and I need to get out to the track more. Once every 6-12 months doesn't quite do it.

Another fantastic day as usual. Only the MX5 club could keep the rain away for the day.

Fanta managed a 1.11.7 on semi-slicks for 3rd on the day, behind the two Carco race cars. Nothing like a cold slippery day to bring a normally aspirated 1600 to the front.

Great fun to drive, particularly chasing Brian in his BMW \"shopping trolley\", which was bl**dy quick. There was no way he was going to let Fanta catch him !!

Pat Rooke was in 2nd with a low 1.10 and Ashley having a guest drive in Russel's racecar managed a 1.09 on his first outing for FTD - the benefit of being a top go-kart racer.

What a great day!
With all the rain on Saturday many thought we would be participating in a skid pan not a track day, but the clouds blew away and we had the best weather. There was a little run off on the track for the morning session but it had all dried up in the afternoon.
I didn’t think I would get a start because when we got to the track and checked the brake pads they were bare – only metal. But thanks to Pete (I owe you 1) we got a set and could have a run. Note to self ‘stop using those brakes’…..After all the effort I did a PB of 1:10.11. 8)
Greg and I gave our son, James, a drive in the car for his birthday present– he had never dríven on a track or a turbo, let alone Turbo Girl. He had a few spins, all that power is a bit to handle and got a 1:16. Excellent work.

Thanks to the organisers for a another great event.

Arrrgggghhhh, whilst the Track Day was once again a fantastically well run event, with plenty of track time for all competitors, I had a rather frustrating day at the track.

My mechanics adjusted the position of my rear sway to deal with issues that I had with some oversteer that I have been experiencing. (At this point in time, I am unlikely to complain about oversteer again.) This caused massive understeer issues, as anyone who followed me over the hill could attest to.

Dad and I did the sensible thing, and changed the sway bar back to the previous setting, but in the process of doing that, as I tightened one of the D clamp bolts attaching the sway bar to the chassis, the bolt sheared off.

Whilst the end result did mean a tad less understeer, it was still significant understeer which lead to no new PBs this time and a best on the day of 1:15:89, 0.67 over my PB. And now I have 104 days to stew on the situation :?

Oh, and a big congrats to Irwin83r and Hellmun, with both new PBs on the day, identical 1:13:66. Impressive stuff guys, I must get Lara some more power!

Once again, big thanks to all the volunteers, grid officials, lap timers and flag marshalls for continuing to donate their time to these days. You guys do a great job, have done so all year! Much thanks!

WTF have you done to my car...it was neutral when I owned it...must have been that sex change you gave it that ruined it, loosing it's balls must have changed the weight bias!

So my 1.14.32 still stands on baldy old phucked RA1's then Mr Guider, whilst your new tyres enabled you a 1.15.89! Tsk tsk tsk! :P

Was a very fun day, weather held off and after avoiding some water seepage the track fully dried up and set some good times. My listed starting PB for the day was 1:18 something because of how early I signed up and paid(I think this is atleast the second time I got the #1) and I was in lucky last Group 6. By the end of the day I was chasing Casey in the SP in G2 and failing to catch up but atleast keeping in sight. Managed a very good 1:13:66 which was eerily exactly the same as Irwin to the hundredth

Also big thanks to Mike Hicks for letting Me, Irwin and Lithium have one last round

Looking forward to trying to chase down CB next trackday.

Ahh - you were the guy in the red NB8B that came screaming up behind me on the cool-down lap into the pits. I thought you were going to try and overtake along the pit entry a couple of times 8)

Pretty impressive times - I'd need a longer straight to pull any sort of a gap on you 8)

edit - why did we only get times for three laps in Run 8? I'm sure my last lap was a 1:12.5
