tips for Eastern creek?
I wish I saw your post earlier. My youtube videos could of helped. My stock NA8 had old tyres 150,000 km factory suspension and a mania CAI at the time. Similar to your perhaps???
I have dríven EC a few times before and CT's summary is spot on. I found I was between gears at turn 6 (flip flop) and found turn 11 (also flip flop) a little tricky to get right. Turn one should be flat on good tyres once you get comfortable with it and turn in later than you think. The last turn before the straight also needs to be set up well to give you good speed down the straight. I alwasy try to go deep here to get a straight run through the corner. The witches hat on my videos are a good guide to the turn in point.
I have come off three times at EC. Twice at turn two (because I ran out of brakes and because I braked too late trying to zoom up the inside of someone) and once at turn 11 (not braking in a straight line). I think once you get over turn 1 EC is not too scary. Although after watching some trackside video of my race prepared suzuki gti going though turn 4? sideways on 3 wheels I have always been a little uneasy about this corner.
