Too right, 45s in a 1.6 is excellent. I think I got down to mid-45s (1:45.6?) but it's been a while, the memory is fuzzy, and it took a few years of effort. The 1.8s have heaps more grunt to pull out of the slow corners on that track.

Na, I didn't drive at the Natmeet. The last time you that you might have seen me was DECA last year.

1:45.8 was a once off time. My average is more like 1:46-47 and still have a lot to fine tune. I think next time I'll be going back to street tyres just to iron out my mistake or even bad habits from relying on my semi's. Not sure if that's a good idea.

Na, I didn't drive at the Natmeet. The last time you might have seen me was DECA last year in a black NA6 with black hardtop.

I think it's an excellent idea. A few seasons ago, I went back to what was then standard class which would now be roughly clubman. Point is with road tyres, my times really never changed at all. 2.03 at the Island etc. It proved I wasn't driving to the full limit of the car on R specs and so I spent a season learning to drive to the grip limits. Going back to R specs, I dropped a further 2 secs by applying the new skills. Course it's a lot scarier but satisfying.
#35 Someone spent billions building these roads and you have to drive on the grass!
