QFM can always put their material onto your backing plates.
I would be very suspicious of anyone who simply says that QFM doesn't supply a particular pad type.
FWIW, CustardT, I think that you have made the right choice for your application.

I always just stuck to Carbotech AX6 on my standard NC which was running Hankook RS3's.
Never had fade and the braking ability was enough for the tyres.
But yes they are pricey, but I don't think A1RM's will have any thing on them.
I would be interested in the review of the A1RM on the NC as well.
I gather they are only $110 for a set, as that seems to be the going rate for them regardless of the application at least through Brakes Direct.
I only have one experience of A1RM's so far.
I just put a set of A1RM's into my Sisters KIA Pro Cee'd GT.
I drove the car at SMSP South during the first timer session showing her around so was going at about 80%. I had fade on the 3rd lap into the final 3 corners. I did bed them in the week before as well following the procedure. I did it twice because the first set that was sent out had the correct backing plate, but incorrect shape of friction material so was not sweeping over the first 8mm of the rotor. Brakes Direct were fairly easy to deal with regarding the incorrect pads being sent out the first time.
I am disappointed in the performance considering the standard KIA OEM pads were fine at Wakefield Park and Marulan.
I knows its a different car being FWD, 1400KG with 150kw, but it has much bigger front rotors(305x28mm) and calliper's.
Will see how they are at Wakefield in a few weeks time.

Well, sort of unmodified, it has headers and an RX8 sway bar with Bilsteins (not coilovers - yet )
I wont be able to get the AO50’s fitted in time as I’m intertate all week so will be running RE003’s in stock 17” wheels.

Peter Murray runs a NC at QR (with A050's) it is mostly stock but has some weight reduction.
