Nice. Looks like a good high momentum sort of track design that'd suit our cars well. I hope they get it through.

It does look like a good circuit. This proposed raceway is on the MGCC's old land (we still own the hillclimb track there) and we've put in a DA for an extension to the hillclimb too. It will be interesting to see what comes of it, and hopefully the outcome will be very positive for the motorsport community.

Good to see,
Hope it goes ahead, but didn't Port Stephen's Council reject the MG Car Club's initial plans (ie Motoplex) in traffic, noise and enviromental grounds and won at the land and environment court.
How is this proposal differ ?
See the Motoplex vs Port Stephens Council Appeal from 2008

Seems every one want to build something up that way see

Hope one of them comes through...

Ian

I believe the main issue with the Motorplex plan was the intention of also having a drag racing venue, which is not part of the plan for the current owner/developer (Italia Road Holdings). I also certainly hope that at least one of the current proposals goes through.

The previous owner was only interested if he could run top fuel cars there. Which was what floured the last plan. The new one is MUCH friendlier.
