Change to harness regs

Wooooo hoooooooo, I was looking at them on Sunday wondering if I should stick them on ebay.

They're stamped as September 2002
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Very Exciting...Just gave me 3.5 years back

I've just found out that the industry standard for harneses is 10 years anyway so it's nice for them to come into line with that

And they have removed the date/check requirement on fire extinguishers too - scrutineers will check they are fully charged and shake them, otherwise they will be fine regardless of age. Dr Michael Henderson is doing some great research work for CAMS to inject some scientific basis to their ideas on safety equipment. BTW he is the man responsible for designing the very first racing harness for Jackie Stewart in the 60's - establishing what became Willans Harnesses. He is still a very fast driver in his own right and runs a Ralt RT4, March and BMW Elva in historics. Top bloke! :D
