Obviously after a stint in the MX5 at QR, Darren has also seen the light and won't be competing in the Mini Challenge after his commitment ceases at the end of the year.

It's is dubious at the moment as to whether the Mini's will even run at Phillip Island in 2 weeks. Be really happy if I'd bought one at $96K.

I told Darren when I met him that the MX5's are the way to go and he has certainly taken the ball and run with it. He rang me from Hong Kong yesterday and it seems he's buying a few NC's.

Those NC's will surprise a few people. Once someone has a real crack at turning one into a race car i think they will be unbeatable in 2f. You only have to see what Chris Gough and the boys are doing in their relativly stock NC's.

Yeah i bet the guys that outlayed all that money for a Mini would be stoked. It's such a huge amount of money. But to the guys running them it's probably not all that much. Most of them have probably got bucket loads.

I really wish I could say yes, but I bought a house last Friday and it settles on the Thursday before. Therefore I now have to move that weekend. Sorry to not be able to be there and attept to give you guys a run for your money. Keep the car because we are going to Phillip Island for certain.

PS have a chat to Chris sometime about what we are planning for the NC.

Congatulations on the new house.

I spoke to Chris and he was telling some plans he has. Should be good if it comes off.

I wil be coming down o PI either with the new car or as a spectator. Probably just as a spectator.
