Accomodation at QLD V8's

Postby Red 2f MX5 » Tue Jun 24, 2008 2:03 pm

I am coming up to the V8's at QR next month and was wondering if anybody could recomend somewhere to stay.
I think it will be hard to find somewhere leaving things so late.

Cheers
Brett

I'm about 45mins from the track. I don't have spare beds, but I do have plenty of room if you and your dad want to grab a swag or a blow up matress or something. I assume you'll have a tow car for transport?

Brett, not sure how bad the traffic is for that weekend, but in my opinion going to Ipswich from the Gold Coast is too difficult.
You have to pretty much do a giant U-turn in order to go from GC to Ipswich as there is no easy route direct between them.

If you can't find any accomodation within a 10km range, try outlying Ipswich suburbs easily accessible to the Ipswich motorway, eg. Redbank Plains, Goodna. Even if you go further north, closer to Brisbane, like Darra, Inala, and Archerfield, it's still a 30minute drive if the traffic isn't bad.

Big tip, regardless of where you stay, if you have to use the Ipswich Motorway, leave early and tack on about another 20 minutes to your ETA.
