Which brake pads would best suit an na6 for mainly track use, with a bit of road use. And Grippy tyres. Where do i buy them from in s.e. melbourne. I would like to eventually get bigger brakes too as it is turbo charged.
Also would like to get castor camber settings and a recommended wheel alignment shop.
I know nothing of setting up a car for racing, so any help is much appreciated.

with the hawk blues keep in mind that unless you have cast iron disks you will go through disks pretty quickly - probably not that much of an issue but it is something to note. they will also squeel on the street which can get annoying. check out the hawk site. they have some pretty good info on all of their pad compounds - it should give you a good idea of what you are after.

Mintex Brake Pads - My Recent Experience
I recently fitted a new set of Mintex pads, front and rear. They claim to be a good pad for street and track use. My experience has been very positive so far.
They have excellent cold bite - they don't need to be warmed up to work well. They offer great feel and stopping power while requiring only the normal amount of pressure on the brake pedal. After two sessions of 6 laps around a wet Symmons plains race track with a 5 minute break between sessions, they were still performing very well at what I would call 3/4 of my race pace and level of attack on a wet track. Based on this, I can recommend them for street and track use. I have yet to conduct a sustained track test to ascertain the point at which they will fade.
They are pitched as being a very similar pad to the Bendix Ultimates, offering a good street/track compromise. I think Bendix are rated to 650 degrees C, whie the Mintex are rated to 750 degrees C. Street performance in my opinion is fantastic, with no squeals and acceptable levels of dusting. Track performance is also fantastic, but as I said, I haven't tested their limits yet.
I sourced mine from Revolution RaceGear in Hobart. From memory I think they were $70 per pair.
Mintex have two different compounds available. They have a premium race compound and a standard compound. I chose the standard compound - the premium compound is purely for racing. I'm a happy customer! I also helped a mate fit these to his Mk1 MR2 - he's also rapt with the great feel and stopping power.
I would recommend these to anyone that is after a pad that has good street/track performance with excellent street-driving manners.

very interesting - I have the ultimates and they seem to be a little shot after yesterdays session. it could be the fluid though as I have done 2 track days with them and its only dot 4. I may give those mintex a go next!

I will try the mintex pads, they sound good for my needs. If i go into a hillclimb race i will need them to work from cold. And not too expensive. Thanks scoota.
