Hello, It appears my fuel pump on my 2000 heritage has succumbed. Problem im having is after scouring the internet, just about every fuel pump that states it fits my model are different. They look different, they come with extras and some don't, not to mention the difference in price which is sometimes double. Bosch seem well presented , other don't appear to have any manufacturers title. Even Bosch appear to have different model numbers for the same car. So can anyone suggest a decent brand and model and where I can get one? Im thinking of pulling the old pump out first to compare before buying one. Many thanks all!

Re your fuel pump issue, worth keeping in mind the so called 'blackwire' issue:

I emailed mx5 mania and received what I think is an odd reply. I asked what brand the pump is , the kit is about $135 which includes pump wiring strainer , a couple of clips and piece of fuel hose. She replied its a goss pump but doesn't have a return valve and I need to modify the wiring and she highly recommends the genuine pump. Im no expert but what return valve in the pump itself? Im aware of a fuel return valve to the the tank but not the pump. And why sell a pump when she recommends the genuine one? And then just leaves it at that, no mention of the genuine one.
